Google is urging billions of Gmail users to update their passwords and increase account security as the threat of cyberattacks increases following a significant third-party data breach earlier this month.
The increased threat of cyberattacks follows a recent breach of Salesforce’s cloud platform, which allowed hackers to access a database containing Google Cloud and Gmail users’ information.
In the aftermath of the breach, hackers have reportedly carried out many “successful intrusions,” according to the New York Post.
